Sydney Frontrunners

Sydney Marathon volunteers

Event information

Sydney Frontrunners are volunteering again to marshal this year. We are looking after the Pride Area, on Oxford Street around Taylor Square (Course Zone 6A).  As a partner running club of the Sydney Marathon, we are keen to have as many volunteers as possible this year, from Frontrunners and other LGBTQI+ sports clubs.

Volunteers are key to the success of the marathon. The role includes keeping the route clear and assisting any runners in difficulty. Also important is encouraging everyone to achieve their best - your voice will be tired at the end of the day.

You will need to be at the meeting point in Oxford Street by 6.45, ready to get in position before the elite runners head up Oxford Street, and be available to stay until 3pm. Sydney Marathon provides tee-shirts, hats, water and snacks on the day. Afterwards we will head to the Beresford to celebrate with our runners.

Our coordinators are David ( DavidJThompson1962@outlook.com) and Rob  (roelofs.rob@gmail.com) so please get in touch with them if you would like more information.

If you are returning as a volunteer, you can sign in to Pont3 and choose Course Zone 6A through this link: https://pont3.rosterfy.com.au/login
