About the film
Pillion follows Colin, a directionless young man whose life shifts after meeting Ray, the charismatic leader of a queer motorbike club. Drawn into a new world of power, control and community, Colin must decide whether he’s found freedom — or simply another kind of constraint.
Winner of the Un Certain Regard Best Screenplay at Cannes, the film is adapted from Adam Mars-Jones’ novel Box Hill and features standout performances from Alexander Skarsgård, Harry Melling and Lesley Sharp.
